Bamidele Aturu & Co was formally registered to practice law in Nigeria by an instrument under the hand of the Registrar of Business Names. The firm is a leader in litigation and code analysis. We specialize in human rights law, labour law and general litigation.
As a dynamic law firm cognisant of the changes and challenges of the current epoch we provide the following specific services:
» Litigation: This covers all areas of substantive law.
» Corporate practice: Incorporation of companies and all matters incidental thereto, processing of various annual returns, mergers, reconstruction and take-over, liquidation and winding-up, searches at the Corporate Affairs Commission etc. We also advise on business planning.
» Drafting: We draft agreements, mortgages, and other deeds. The firm also prepares applications for certificate of occupancy and Governor's consent with regard to assignment of land. Furthermore, we settle appellate briefs for law firms which do not specialise in appellate practice or for litigants who desire to have their appeals handled by specialists.
» Labour and Industrial Law: This is an area which requires intellectual knowledge and deep involvement in activism. Without a thorough understanding of the rich and complex history of Trade Unionism in Nigeria, a lawyer is not better than a mere technician without the requisite insight that can only be a product of active involvement and empathy in unionism.
