Bamidele Aturu & Co provides legal services on human rights issues.The firm has successfully litigated landmark cases in this field. Apart from this, the General Counsel was for many years the Editor of the Human Rights Law Report of Africa.
We also facilitate the sharing of knowledge and ideas about human rights law and advocacy and foster the exchange of views between specialists from different areas of expertise and the wider legal community.
Our principal objective is to promote awareness of human rights issues and to aid their effective enforcement and enjoyment within Nigeria and beyond.

Our aims include, among others:

  • Promotion of human rights generally

  • Effective legal protection of the human rights and fundamental freedoms of the peoples of the Nigeria through personal litigation and public impact litigation;

  • Research, education, training and publication in the areas of human rights law and practice;
